Fringe Labour, 2022 Nylon, deer hide, metal 6 x 6 feet Tania Willard

In this work I am thinking about shelter, value, labour and pop up tent economies like; pow wow, farmers markets, info-tables, fundraising and frybread stands. Part of a developing of series of works that are adaptations of existing tools and instruments that become suggestive of potentialities in their new forms. Produced during my Forge Project fellowship visit, Ai Weiwei designed Forge building in the background.
